KÜTTNER and MARTIN have long-standing experience as plant manufacturers in their respective fields of activity. KÜTTNER contributes fluidized-bed technology, tried and tested for the thermal treatment of sewage sludge, as well as expertise in the optimization of the overall process. MARTIN offers a wealth of long-standing experience in the thermal and biological treatment of residual material as well as an extensive network of local and global contacts. Combining their business activities in the field of the thermal treatment of municipal sewage sludge established a sound basis for forming a new plant manufacturer. As a full member of the MARTIN group, the resulting company can today ideally utilize the synergies with MARTIN GmbH to establish the basis for future growth.

Together, KÜTTNER and MARTIN are majority owners of WÜRZ GmbH, a specialist for heat recovery systems with a wide variety of applications that is based in Willich near Düsseldorf. WÜRZ can refer to numerous completed projects for the steam and thermal oil boiler-based recovery of heat following the mono-combustion of sewage sludge. The holding was entered into on the basis of a trusty and successful cooperation the companies have enjoyed for many years.

In 2020, KMT GmbH took over the sewage sludge combustion activities and corresponding references of OUTOTEC. Above all, however, very experienced specialists for planning and implementing plants for the treatment of sewage sludges could be enlisted and integrated into the company. In addition to the Munich headquarters, another operational centre was established in Butzbach near Frankfurt.
