At the end of December, MARTIN was awarded the contract to build the combustion system for the WTE plant in Corteolona, Italy. The project is the follow-up order to the Parona plant, which was successfully commissioned and handed over to the customer a2a in 2024. For Corteolona, a2a counts on proven MARTIN technology to achieve maximum efficiency and reliability. The entire plant will be built under the leadership of Termokimik and together with boiler specialist AC Boilers.

Located south of Milan, the plant will make a significant contribution to the efficient and environmentally friendly utilisation of non-recyclable residual waste in the region.

Scope of services
MARTIN's scope of services includes the planning, delivery, installation supervision and commissioning activities for the entire combustion system and the concept design for the boiler. The plant will have one line and will be equipped with the tried-and-tested MARTIN Vario grate with five runs. The gross heat release will be 110 MW. This order underlines MARTIN's position as one of the leading suppliers of modern energy and environmental technologies.
