MARTIN was awarded the contract to erect a new combustion line for the Linth waste-to-energy plant in Switzerland. All in all, the project includes the supply of the combustion system and boiler and an electrostatic precipitator. For this contract, the completely redesigned reverse-acting grate will be used for the first time.
Particular attention is being paid to low O2 values for this project, as the site is to be equipped with a carbon capture unit in the future. What is more, the Linth WTE plant is emphasizing its focus on pioneering technologies and sustainable solutions with the use of our recently introduced Waste Flow Analysis software.
The project has a total duration of 3.5 years. Acceptance of the line is planned for 2028.
There is a historical aspect that makes this order special: 40 years ago, MARTIN already supplied the Linth WTE plant with original combustion line 2. Today, we are continuing the success story with state-of-the-art technologies.
We would like to express our gratitude for the trust placed in us and look forward to implementing this landmark project.
