We are proud to announce that MARTIN, along with our subsidiary MARTIN Environmental Technologies Ltd., is part of the groundbreaking project led by Enwave in Prince Edward Island, Canada — the new Energy-from-Waste district heating facility in Charlottetown.
The facility, set to begin operation by 2028, will significantly expand capacity: it will process up to 90 % of PEI's residential black-cart waste, reduce reliance on fuel oil for heating, and deliver cleaner, more reliable energy to more than 145 buildings in Charlottetown — including hospitals, schools, universities, and residences.
As part of this project, MARTIN is contributing with its expertise in supplying a 1-run reverse-acting grate (21.3 MWth), the basic boiler design, an SNCR system, a Boiler Cleaning system, and other ancillary equipment. This aligns perfectly with our commitment to sustainable energy, emissions reduction, and delivering robust engineering solutions for large-scale clean energy infrastructure.
