An important milestone was reached on 12 December 2025. MARTIN GmbH signed a contract with Metrostav DIZ a.s. to supply key components for the new waste-to-energy line in Brno (CZ).
The project is part of an EU-sponsored initiative for the modernisation of the existing waste-to-energy plant. The goal is to build a highly-efficient, additional line with an annual throughput rate of up to 160,000 tons. The new line, set to go online in 2028, will be designed for a gross heat release of approximately 46 MW, thus making an important contribution to sustainable energy provision.
Our scope of supply includes the combustion and combustion air systems, steam generator and SNCR technology. The tried and trusted MARTIN reverse-acting grate will be used, featuring 3 runs and a throughput capacity of approximately 400 tons per day.
Together with our partner, EPC contractor Metrostav DIZ a.s., and LAB, responsible for the flue gas cleaning system, we look forward to successful implementation of this challenging project.
We are glad to have won this contract after an intensive tender phase lasting several years, thereby continuing our successful cooperation in the Czech Republic.
