Order to supply the combustion and combustion air systems for the WTE plant at the Komořany site (Czech Republic)

10/07/2024

In April 2024, MARTIN received the order from SLOVENSKÉ ENERGETICKÉ STROJÁRNE, a.s. (SES a.s.) to supply the main components of the combustion and combustion air systems, and to engineer the steam generator, for the single-line waste-to-energy plant at the Komořany site (CZ).

The core component of the line will be a 3-run reverse-acting Vario grate with a throughput capacity of up to 504 tons per day and a gross heat release of approx. 52.1 MW.

In the "EVO Komořany" project, MARTIN is the exclusive subcontractor of SES a.s., a specialist for the design and construction of combustion boilers. SES a.s. is acting as the EPC contractor for this project.

The contract for the turnkey supply of the entire plant with a capacity of approximately 150,000 tons per year was also signed in April of this year, between SES a.s. and the end customer United Energy a.s., a Czech electricity and heat supplier and operator of a power plant at the Komořany site near the city of Most.

United Energy, a.s. is aiming to improve the ecological footprint of electricity and heat generation in the North Bohemia region by building a WTE plant.

MARTIN is proud to be able to build on its previous successes in the Czech Republic with this order, and is delighted to be leading the project to success together with its important partner SES a.s. following a long period of preparatory work.
