Delivery of 2 MARTIN reverse-acting grates

17/12/2007

The Waste-to-Energy plant in Brno (Czech Republic) consists of 3 combustion lines and has been operating since 1989. It is now to be replaced completely by two new combustion lines.

This contract was awarded to the CNIM/SIEMENS consortium on 24/10/2007.

Our partner CNIM will supply the combustion system, boiler and components for the flue gas cleaning system. Some parts of the existing flue gas cleaning system, which was modernized in 1994, will continue to be used. SIEMENS is responsible for the turbine, generator and process control system.

MARTIN reverse-acting grates with a width of 6.32 m will be provided for both combustion lines. Each unit will have a throughput of 336 t/d with a gross heat release of 42.8 MW.
