MARTIN receives follow-up order for waste-to-energy plant in Nantes Est, France

15/10/2025

On 21 July 2025, MARTIN GmbH signed a contract with PAPREC for the construction of two new lines at Prairie des Mauves in France. The project is a follow-up order as the new lines will replace the existing MARTIN combustion systems, which have been running successfully since 1987.

"The existing lines have been operating for almost 40 years. This is an impressive journey together. We are pleased to build on this legacy with state-of-the-art technology," says Ulrich Martin, Managing Director of MARTIN GmbH.

The new, innovative MARTIN.grate will be used, complete with three grate runs and a combustion control system fitted with an infrared camera. A special feature of the new plant is that it will co-combust sewage sludge.

The duration of the project is three years, with commissioning planned for 2029. During this time, MARTIN will be closely collaborating with its cooperation partner PAPREC to build a reliable plant, well-equipped for the future, in Nantes Est.
