On 15 November 2017, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Environmental & Chemical Engineering (MHIEC) was awarded the contract to supply 2 waste-fired steam generators for the extension (phase III) of the Nanhai Garbage Incinerating Power Plant in Foshan, Guangdong province.

The combustion lines will be equipped with MARTIN reverse-acting grates, each with a throughput of 750 Mg/day. The heat released will be used to generate electricity. The generator has a capacity of approx. 40 MW.

Start-up is planned for the year 2019.
